Porto Montenegro is the superyacht gateway into Croatia. It is on the eastern side of the Bay of Kotor, with a shoreline that extends more than 100 km and boasts a number of medieval towns to explore. Tivat, where Porto Montenegro is located, has a name that dates to records from the 3rd century B.C.—and is the youngest of the towns that you can visit along the bay.

When to go

April to October

High season

July - August

From Montenegro, charter itineraries can continue on to Croatia, which has more than a thousand islands. Many are uninhabited and ideal for private picnics along with hiking and swimming in the solitude of nature. Paddle boarding, kayaking and other water sports are wonderful here, where the waters are protected and few other people or yachts are around. In other parts of Croatia, you can explore mainland cities such as Dubrovnik, where you can take your charter yacht’s tender ashore and walk along the towering series of walls that have encircled the city for protection since its founding. Walk high above the orange and yellow terra cotta rooftops, make your way toward the water and look out into the clear blue sea—where your charter yacht will be awaiting at anchor for you to return when the day is done.
