The crew on "Indulgence of Poole" the 86' Mangusta Fly based in Antibes has once again provided an excellent service to their guests this summer. The secret of their succès? A very well maintained yacht, great entertainment on board, the excellent Cuisine by Rama, a dedicated and professional crew lead by Janko and a lot of hard work. Congratulations to all! You deserve every word of the comments below...
"Just a short note to you after chartering you motor yacht for the past ten days....... As a family we have chartered annually for the past ten years as our children have been at different stages.
The excuse has always been to coincide with their return home from school at the start of the holidays but this seems to have carried on through University years too !! Any way this year, my wife and I were accompanied by our eldest daughter 24, youngest daughter 22, and our son 18 .....each also took a friend.
We have enjoyed the best charter to date and aside from the boat being extremely nice, you must take credit for securing what has to be the best combination of crew anywhere at the moment. They really are top end and this makes so much difference to the atmosphere on board if everyone is relaxed with each other. Also when you speak to the crew again, do tell them what I said.
Once again my congratulations to you for what you provide for your clients and all the very best to you for the rest of the summer.
Kind Regards, H.T"
"We just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time on the Indulgence of Poole. Please pass on our thanks to Janko, Eva, Rama and Elmer and also to the owners of the boat.
First of all the crew were superb, always cheerful and nothing too much trouble. We saw Eva most and she was truly delightful and ever helpful. Great table laying skills and also good at dealing with not-awake-teenagers. Janko was a great captain and we were able to visit all the places that I had hoped to visit (St Florent, Calvi, Porto, Girolata and Ajaccio, with many other lovely beaches in between). He had to deal with an issue with the navigation system, but that was handled competently and didn't impede our plans. Elmer provided great support on the tender, managing to get into little beaches to pick us up from our snorkelling expeditions. This was a great help to me as I found it difficult to get into the tender in open water (perhaps some sort of ladder would be a good addition to it? or a rope to pull on to haul yourself up?). He gave the children some great rides on the doughnut and jet ski plus delivering us safely to port if anchored off shore. Last but not least, Rama provided us with great and varied meals of a standard beyond what we believed possible from his compact kitchen. We certainly ate very well indeed and he made sure that we had what we liked, even daring a Corsican omelette (speciality) to mine and the Internet's recipe. They were a great crew and really helped made our holiday wonderful. Sincere thanks to them all.
The children certainly enjoyed the doughnut and even David had a go on the jet ski. We also liked the kayaks though harder going with a bit of wind than they looked. It was a bit difficult to get out of the water - with the jetski there, it helped having the hand holds but was tricky to climb over. Without it, the shortness of ladder made it a bit of a palaver for those of us over 50s with dodgy knees and so forth, to get out comfortably. That said, we swam in some beautiful spots (Porto, Scandola peninsula and the Revellata) with some exceptional snorkelling.
Lastly the Indulgence herself was a very fine vessel. My teens loved the sunbathing spot on the bows, and David and myself were happy to be on top deck with fine views of the mountains as we cruised. Indoors, the saloon was very comfortable for mass family viewing of cheesy videos or games of Don't Panic. Our cabins were fine and very comfortable, and Eva was a great help in mastering the aircon so we were the right sort of temperature.
So, our thanks to the crew and to you for helping organise all of this, plus thanks to the owner for the use of the boat.
Kind regards, H.S."
