Steeped in myth, history and natural beauty, the Mediterranean island of Cyprus is an ideal yacht charter destination. Famous for its golden beaches and crystal-clear waters, the island is home to a pristine coastline that is perfect for cruising, snorkelling and diving. Situated to the southeast of Greece and south of Turkey, the island’s unique location ensures it offers a special fusion of Eastern and Western influences. From the secluded coves of the Akamas Peninsula to the bustling harbour of Kyrenia, Cyprus is also home to a variety of landscapes. Further inland, the island is covered in verdant forests, rolling valleys, and the Troodos Mountains, which create a picturesque backdrop for those who venture beyond the shoreline.

The island’s cultural heritage is equally as captivating as its landscapes, with ancient sites like Paphos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, providing a glimpse into its fascinating past. Wander through the narrow streets of its historic villages, visit Byzantine monasteries, or head to the larger cities of Limassol and Nicosia, which are known for their more energetic and vibrant scene, with fine dining and lively entertainment. Strategically positioned in the Mediterranean, Cyprus also serves as an ideal gateway for an extended yacht charter along the Turkish Riviera.

When to go

May to October

High season

June to August

The best time of year to visit Cyprus is during spring, when the weather and climate is mild, with temperatures ranging from 17°C to 25°C. As the waters start to heat up after winter, the sea will be warm enough for snorkelling and swimming. July tends to be the busiest month of the year for the island, as well as the most popular, with temperatures rising over 30°C during the day, so we advise you to avoid the summer heat and crowds.
