Malta

Decoration

Situated in the heart of the Mediterranean, Malta, the largest island of the Maltese archipelago, has long captivated visitors with its sun-drenched beaches and timeless charm. Part of the Republic of Malta, the islands of sunshine and history are an iconic yachting destination, boasting over 300 days of sunshine each year. Ideally explored during a Malta yacht charter, the island’s pristine coastline features hidden coves, red sandy beaches, and dramatic cliffs, making it the perfect choice for secluded anchorage and watersports.

The surrounding azure waters and world-class diving sites, including underwater caves and historic wrecks, further cement Malta’s reputation as a leading Mediterranean yacht charter destination. On land, Malta’s rich history comes alive through its many landmarks, such as the ancient Megalithic Temples and the fortified Grand Harbour Marina in Valletta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Strategically located just 100 kilometres south of Sicily, Malta and its neighbouring islands of Gozo and Comino serve as the perfect starting point for an extended Mediterranean yacht charter.

When to go

September to May

High season

June to August

The best time of year to charter a yacht to Malta is likely to be from late spring to early autumn, particularly between April and October. During this time, the island enjoys warm, sunny weather, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 28°C, making it ideal for outdoor and water activities. We advise charterers to avoid the winter months of November and December due to cooler temperatures and chances of rain, as well as the peak summer months of July and August due to larger tourist crowds.
